Default iPhone 6 with ML Audio

I have a RC350 Sport F with ML Audio. My IPhone 6 works fine with Bluetooth audio however voice controls do not work. For example if I say play songs by The Beatles the response I get is "pardon?". It is my understanding that the device needs to be hooked up by USB and not Bluetooth for voice commands to work. Is this correct? I tried to hook up my iPhone by usb and it tells me invalid device. Can someone help me with this?

Since you have an iPhone, try using Siri while connected by BT. Hold the phone unhook down for several seconds and Siri is activated. Tell Siri to play songs by The Beatles. I tried it on my RC and it works fine, but I don't have the ML Audio.

I'm 99% sure that's correct. You have greater control over your music when attached to the usb versus bluetooth. When the phone paired via BT it can cause issues when also hooked up to usb. For lack of a better way to explain it, when an iPhone is attached via usb it kinda goes into ipod mode. You can use Siri like Poqman says. Or maybe get a dedicated ipod?
