First, make sure that you've loaded the Enform Remote App on your smartphone and you can download it from Lexus http://www.lexus.com/enform/.
Second, press the SOS button in your car and get that activated. It might take a few hours to a day to go from Pending to Activated on the Phone App. The phone App will require you to enter in your vehicle's VIN number, pick a 4 digit code, and select a password, etc. When you call SOS you can ask them the correct sequence if I got it wrong.
Third, once the App is Activated all you do is select the App on your phone, enter in your 4 digit code, and select what you want it to do. Once the vehicle is started you have 10 minutes, it is a count down timer, and if you are not entering the vehicle within that time frame the vehicle will shut off automatically.
You have the option of the App remembering your password or you need to enter it every time you start the App.
Hope that helped.

sorry but that makes no sense.
on my (non lexus), remote start starts the car and locks the doors. if you walk up and unlock doors (by remote, door button, or just putting hand in the handle with key close by of course) the car keeps running but you have to press start again before you can drive off. so it's also secure (car's locked and even if someone got into it somehow they couldn't drive off without the key anyway).

On cars that have a push button start I am thinking that the designers thought that since the car was already started, and technically you are not putting the key into anything to keep it running if the door is opened they shut the car off to prevent theft. Now, I agree that it should have been designed to sense if the key is present and allow the car to keep running until the count down timer expires, but then I'm not a designer so therefore common sense doesn't have to prevail.

I can't believe that Lexus thinks we or all stupid and ignorant concerning the remote start feature on all 2016 models and some 2015 models cars.
I own a 13 GS350 model and I paid a one time charge of around $600 +/- from the factory for the remote option.
If I purchase a 2016 model of any Lexus and want the remote feature, the first year is free and then I must purchase from Lexus EACH year the Lexus Enform Remote package for a charge of $ 219.95. each additional year I want this feature.
If I keep the car 4-5 years, total payments could be $ 660 thru $880 or more.
Lexus just wants a steady stream of cash revenue each year from the owner
( Could purchase from a third party but would have to carry an additional remote fob in my pocket. )
This is bull**** DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ADDITONAL YEARS Lexus my change their policy if no one resigns up
