Are you sure he wasn't quoting an RC-F??
Positive. I originally had a 4 year lease on a 2013 lexus lease and kept it for a year and then traded up to a 2014 is250 f sport and have had it less than a year. I am sure I have a **** ton of money being rolled into each lease and esp an RC lease if I were to go that route. I also don't have a 720 credit score.

Still, it is absolutley insane

Why the shock? The model is hot and brand new. There are no incentives or factory support, supply is likely not meeting demand, and the dealer is not going to discount it when the next guy is willing to pay higher. This happens with all new Lexus's and higher end models. Those who have to be first are going to pay for it. It is their financial decision to do so.

You are right, when the dealer see's you drooling when you walk in to the dealership, they know they got you right where they want you.

If or when I'm in the market for this car, I will remind the dealership of my additional interest in other new competitive coupes made by Mercedes and Cadillac. That always tends to help the deal.

You gotta pay to play when the new models come out. Unless they are a flop they are not going to help much. I remember when the new model M3 came out they were charging a dealer price mark up of 10,000 and people were still buying them.

In time the dealers will care about that but not right now

I paid 50k for mine. I got the F sport package with Molten Pearl paint. Dealer took 1k off and rounded up, along with giving me 6.5k for trade in on my audi (Carmax offered 4k). Just go put some numbers out there

They gave you THEIR best number. That's crazy. See my price below for fsport AWD including tire wheel warranty and ding scratch repair. $723 no money down taxes and title included.

I think it would be more beneficial to those planning to buy or lease in the future if you were to state exactly what packages your RC is equipped with. That way we know the price you paid in relation to your specific build!

Also, if you could please state the number you negotiated from and whether it was the MSRP or invoice price, that would go a long way as well! Thanks and hope you all are enjoying your new cars!
