ill agree photoshop isnt the best way to do cell shading/vector. but your example isnt exactly changing my mind on not using photoshop for this.

Hey whats up...i was looking for a tutorial on how to cell shade...and this one works...i just have a few problems...1. How do you keep the lines looking crisp and clean...2. I use the pen tool just because i think it looks cleaner than the Airbrush. I make actually a working path and then stroke the path...Is it better with just the airbrush...or what...i mean i thought i was doing a pretty good job...but i look at it...and its still looks really choppy...here is the image so far...

i did somthing alot diffrent from your tutural i just did a photo copy filter then cut out all the detail then outlined the car and some of the major lines then used the paint bucket to fill it in

plus im using a really old version of ps so i cant do all the cool stuff that you can

seems i have to make an educational site for my class as a project. this should be done by Mon. night (Feb. 23rd) since its due tue afternoon.

this finally made me work on it more, lol. there isnt much at all right now as im trying to make a decent write up and find a good victim to cell shade. the banners are just random and simple cause i wanna focus more on the actual work.

j/w'ring, when im done some mod mind deleting all the old stuff in this thread since im no longer hosting pics for that old crappy tutorial i made?

New Work in Progress Cell Shading Tutorial

just to let you guys know in advance, most likely ill be cell shading the new GS i hate having a limit of 60kb per page on this project i want insane looking interfaces damnit!
