im currently doing this with an audi, the same one as in the ad i made. anyone like or dislike that ad? im tracing it in illustrator 9 though, and just moving it to photoshop as pixels... anyone have any faster ideas or any ideas in only photoshop besides trying to just use the paintbrush to trace. i dont have a pen, so its harder to trace with the mouse.... its hard enough to select stuff for lowering, color change, etc

for me, this is how i do it.

raise the contrast a bit.
magic wand or whatever, lol.
eye dropper
then paint bucket

when i use the paint bucket, i usually put it in a new layer.. sometimes helps to use the blending effect, stroke by 1 pixel. colored black or greyish.

tedious job, but it works for me.

anyone else have different ways?

i did that one...what i doid was use the eyedropper paintbucket and the line tool...thats how you give it the cartoon look...it took me forever 800-900+ lines before i flattened the image. Not as hard as it is tome consuming. Good luck

second try is better....use the line tool to outline everything with black lines...thats what really gives it the cartoon look....id do it on this one but i really dont have the time....the blue SC took me probly close to 4 hours.
