Unhappy Heater blowing warm air only on one side

So I have a 02 Gs300 and at first my heater was blowing warm not hot enough air only on the passanger side. Then later I start smelling antifreeze and see smoke coming out of the exhaust that smells like antifreeze. I'm no mechanic nor am I very experienced but I can do basics. Mechanic was saying Its a biG job so I figures I'd trouble shoot before I paid that big tab. I flushed my radiator to get it prepped to put gasket sealent in because according to everything I read it's a leak in the heater core. While flushing radiator it seemed that the hoses that are connected to the heater core at the back left wall of the engine are not getting hot or feel like they are pumping water. I still continued with the flush and sealent but no results. To me the core is clogged but again I don't know much what should I do next? It's snowing today and it's cold but I have a garage I can take it to to work on

Default

does the car warm up to operating temperature at all? you might have to change your heater core and i think you have to remove the dash for that.
