Default 2014 Lexus IS 350 Delay

Hey guys,

I have a 2014 Lexus IS 350 and I noticed when I hit the gas hard there's a 1-2 second delay before the car would take off. I know there's a sports section I can use but I sill noticed the delay.
What can I do fix this? Isn't there some kind of mod or aftermarket chip I can hookup without messing up anything for smog?
Thanks.

Apexi makes a throttle controller you can check out.

Aside from that, the ecm does learn your driving habits - you could disconnect negative wire on the battery out for 10 mins and put it back on to reset it.
Driving in eco mode will also result in more delay than per say, normal mode.
How fast you press the throttle down will also mean faster or slower delay.

Thanks, I'll check that out.
I am pretty heavy on the foot and I don't always remember t keep changing from Ecco to sport.
Is there I can do a perm ante override from Ecco to normal or sport?
Thanks again.

That doesn't seem right. In sport mode my 250 accelerates immediately. I would definitely reset the ECU and see if anything changes.

I just need it kick in right away because 1-2 seconds can be dangerous especially in emergency situations. I don't have time to think about changing to sports mode.

Sounds like there is some sort of delay in the drive by wire. Even without being in sport mode my car will react instantly to throttle input. Reset the ECU and see what happens or make an appointment @ the dealership.
