Update: Got the car back later that evening. They said they did a bunch of other steps and tests before they got to this solution. But the service sheets say they replaced the "boost regulator". I'm guessing this is Lexus' generic term for the wastegate. They stated the cause for the issue was the 'Boost Regulator Sticking'.
This is the part # from my service order in case anyone else experiences this. LEX 25819-0W010 Description *Valve, Vacuum R-SPO
Seems to be working fine now.
(F-Sport Folks only) BTW, for some of the other comments about the gauges and such. You can play with some of the "redline" indicators through the Driver Settings. I have my High Speed Indicator one set to 88 MPH so I know at what point I'm ready for time travel. But you can play with a lot of these indicators and setting like the needle color just sitting with the car parked for a little while and playing around. Yes, the boost gauge does turn an orange color when you really punch it or get up around 15 PSI. The tach should also get a red ring when you really get on it. That's normal.

#8. $100 part. So in the future if this happens, at least it's not a catastrophic cost out of warranty

Same is happening to me on my IS200t. Going to take this to the dealership tomorrow and let you know what they say.
Thank you for giving me some information to go in with so I don't sound like a complete idiot trying to explain to my service adviser.

My IS200t is approaching 1,000 miles. So far so good. I'd hope--it's a Lexus! lol.
really hoping I can trust this car long term.
There's first-generation 335 turbos pushing 1,000 hp to the wheels out there on stock internals. my friend has one pushing 500 rwhp. a wall of torque just drops on you. its fast. and reliable. 100k+ miles. I hope this engine can be as half reliable.
