Angry No power on acceleration - cold engine

For about 2 months, my car has started to have NO power when accelerating quickly with a cold engine. It did not use to do this. I have had it to 4 mechanics in Panama City, FL and no one can seem to pinpoint the problem. I just paid $2800 for the catalytic converters to be replaced and timing belt change. That seems to have helped some but still when i accelerate on cold engine, the car doesn't hardly move. My knowledge is very limited and am worried that I am getting screwed by my mechanic. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hey try to get a new MAF ( mass air flow sensor ) Its located in the air intake tube. Let me know how it goes. I had that same problem with my 2001 GS300. Now my gs300 run like a dream.

Thanks for the response. Mechanic replaced both cats and it seems to have improved but still sometimes it has no power when mashing accelerator. I may still try this MAF sensor. Where is the best place to pick one up?
