i didnt spend near as much this time as i did when i did the turbo. the supercharger manifold was the priciest part. then the gauges and meth injection were second most expensive. but all in all for the way it runs, its worth it. its running four pounds right now but when i spray the meth it jumps to five. crazy part is my air fuel ratio at wide open throttle is at a beautiful 11.5 to 1. so im going to put a smaller pulley on it and get it up to 8. the car doesn't pull any timing and drives like stock until it goes into boost. im going to get ahold of a good video camera and do a gymkhana style video to show off all the goodies. im going to dyno it in the next week or two. but I can tell that 4psi from a supercharger is nothing like 4psi from a turbo. the turbo wins hands down. research shows that m112 supercharger is using 33hp to make 5psi. but it still is very fast. it'll do 80 to 120 very quickly.

ok so roughly how much so others (like maybe myself) can think about doing it.... well yeah turbos are far superior but SC have many benefits also (depending on their type) but the immediate and instant response without the turbo lag is one of them

1500 for materials and manifold including welding by a skilled craftsman(im sure it'd be cheaper if you had the hookup on a good welder). 600 for gauges. 180 for intake air temp sensor and lcd gauge. 400 for used supercharger and buy and install new bearings in it. 400 for meth injection kit. plus include couple hundred for miscellaneous stuff. im running all stock injectors, fuel pump, ecm, maf sensor. and it runs really good and doesn't have any drive ability issues at all. so far five psi. is easy to do. now im already onto more boost so i'll see how that plays out.

so bout $3500.... was the cost of the RMM essentially (used of course) no intercooler just the meth injection right?

you have Air/Fuel, Boost, and what else? i could probably get this done for bout $2000-2500 without the gauges and meth injection....course i would have to fire my welder up and im so lazy lately lol. Anyways good job man

the third gauge is an aem meth injection flow rate gauge from 0-500cc. it measures the amount of meth. thats flowing into the engine. therefore i can verify its flowing when the little led is illuminated. and can fine tune the flow rate to make best power. but yes, technically, you can make a manifold, machine the bottom of the supercharger off (you'll see what I mean). and bolt it on and hope for the best. caution though, when its hot outside, i've seen intake air temps. at 160 degrees and that was just cruising. and only 4psi of boost. when it's summertime it;ll be even worse. so you need something to cool the air.

Default cars and coffee

Attended Cars and Coffee at the Oasis on Lake Travis today and was amazed at the amount of cars there. All the exotics, imports, muscle cars, and unique. I was proud to be able to show off my supercharged lexus and it was received well. Parked next to a few is'f's. But made my way down to the main showing area. Anyone who lives near Austin should definitely attend. I plan on going more in the future. Heres some pics.
