Greddy doesn't make an intake anymore. Go with AFE intake with the black tube and the grey filter. Part number 51-10992. Can get it on eBay or Amazon or a lot of other places. People who don't have the intake will try to talk you out of it because of heatsoak. I have it on my car and I live in Florida with dense humid hot air during the summer and my car has been fine daily driving and pulling harder than ever.

Can someone tell me the difference between the silver tube with the grey filter and the black tube with the blue filter?

Just change out the stock filter element with the f sport filter element and you'll be just fine. There hasn't been anyone who has provided a dyno with the AFE system yet; all hype from butt dyno.

If you're talking about AFE filters, the blue is oiled filter and the grey is a dry filter. As far as the tubes, I haven't seen the silver tube, but I'd imagine that it's an aluminum tube. The black is plastic.

With the F-Sport filter element, will you be able to tell a difference in throttle response and sound?

A few years ago in a different car I owned we had this same cold air intake conversation. I had a digital thermometer that read and recorded with two sensors. I put one sensor in the factory cold air intake, the other under the hood where an aftermarket intake would get air. At 30 mph the air temperatures were the same. Below thirty the factory intake was colder. In traffic the factory set up was best. Out of traffic it made no difference. Now remember, this is Hawaii so COLD air is 80'.

Aloha,
Larry
