Still, most of the VDIM system is separate from the ECM. I couldn't say with 100% certainty, but I would think, in theory, that you could still do the swap. You wouldn't gain VDIM, but I think the engine computer can likely handle it with or without VDIM. Hard to know for sure though.

will most likely be attempting this with my 2007 is250 swaping a 3.5 in to mine. converting to RWD. unless someone has a way to keep the 250awd system with a 350.

The 3.5 will mate up just fine to the AWD transmission so really no need to do a conversion if you dont need to. If you are really worried, just find out how much difference is the IS350 AWD transmission (2011-2013) is from the IS250 AWD transmission is but I am almost positive they are identical minus maybe a few gearing changes

A properly set-up nitrous kit is certainly not cheap. Note where I say, "properly set-up." There are numerous safety devices that are part of this and it adds up. This alone would cost you a significant portion of what that setup would cost. Then you combine it with the cost of filling the bottle and the fact that you don't have it on constantly, the 350 engine or a LS-swap is the way to go.

I'd suggest you start a new thread.
These are not interchangeable from a wiring, ECU, fueling, electronics standpoint. Will the engine bolt into the car, transmission, YES! Will it ever run, NO! Do not buy a 250 engine for a 350 vehicle. Many want to do a 250 to 350 swap. This is not an easy swap. Do a search D-4S vs port and direct injection. Very different engines.

GL - you'll likely be doing some kind of import or rebuild that one.
