Default Are there any knock-off f-sport intake arms?

Are there any companies that make knock-off/replica f-sport metal intake arms?
F-sport is too expensive for what it is and can't find any joe-z intake arms. I am looking to pair it up with an AEM dryflow filter.

They are on back order. Can't believe no one besides joe-z and f-sport makes this pipe.

I think you can get this cheap intake from EBay and cut the pipe shorter to fit stock airbox. I would heat wrap it too.

Any recommendations on types/brands of heat wrap? Do you think it would be beneficial to wrap a Joe-Z intake?

Some people said no benefit. But I still wrap mind using a wrap that was for header. After driving 30 minute I can touch intake pipe and it was warm not hot. Got my from Auto Zone or Orielly Auto part $25.

Please note that those cheap intakes don't have a flange on the tube. That means the connecting rings may slip off if you don't tighten them enough. Since the bends in the tube are not meant to connect to a stock intake box, but to their own filter, the fitment may not be exact, making the lack of flange an even bigger risk. If you do buy that ebay intake also note that those "permanent" filters don't filter as well as paper but generally allow better air flow. You might trust a K&N filter or some other brand name, but I sure wouldn't use the filter from a $40 ebay intake. So if you DO decide to use a permanent filter instead of the stock box, you'll be on the hook for the cost of a decent filter as well.

Just food for thought.

Oh, and muffler wrap may not be ideal. Someone seemed to have success with reflectix. That is heat resistant and insulated with a thin bubble wrap layer. I might experiment with some wrap, but I personally don't expect it will make much difference to actual intake temps.

I'll drive around for a while and maybe add heat resistant wrap later.

Thanks for the info. With the JoeZ intake my intake air temperature is usually only about 5°F higher than the outside temperature when I am driving on the highway so I probably won't bother.

I am going to probably wait for the Joe-z intake instead of cutting a pipe and knowing it won't fit correctly.

I bought the aem drop in filter. I had a noticeable MPG gain with the AEM dryflow on my integra. Was blown away when my miles per tank went from about 330 to about 370(about 3mpg).

Nice maybe I should try AEM filter with my Afe Intake. I had call Carson Toyota in California they say they have blue Joe Z in stock last month.

My AEM drop in dry flow came in. I am going to install it once my current tank empties. I've only had the car for about 500 miles and i've been averaging 26mpg. I will report back in a few weeks to see if the arm dry flow has improved gas mileage.
