Stillen Supercharger kit
Hello everyone. I am not sure if you guys check 3IS forum but stillen is making a supercharger kit for 2GR-FSE. Please show your interest so they can test it on 2IS as well. I am not sure about the engine bay difference between 2IS and 3IS. Otherwise it should fit on our cars too

5-7k is the normal price range for SC these car. Hence why nobody really bother with it when LMS was the first to do it and only sold 5 kit total maybe. These car aren't made for performance that why there isn't much option. It's either spend that extra cause you wanna say it SC or buy a different car if you want performance upgrade.

People are dreaming and havent looked at prices when they think a $3-4k kit is achievable for a company to produce. The blower alone runs $2200-2500 for a centrifugal (procharger, rotrex, etc). Then you add piping, intercooler, machined brackets, custom pulleys, BOV, etc. No company can make money at the price point you mention, unless quality of parts arent your concern...
Stillen is preliminarily promising 100whp gains, as well. $6-7k is a great deal at that for people who always wanted a bolt on, from a known company, kit. Whether or not they achieve it, as another thing. I have read some interesting responses from them on CL, and i'll wait quietly to see what they do.

When you put a decent SC in a kit, $5k+ is pretty par for the course, from what I could find. For any car, not just ours. Vortech SC aren't any cheaper than Rotrex. Procharger seem cheaper, but more problematic from what I could find.
There aren't too many with a 2G ISx50 willing to throw that kind of money at a kit. Seems that most people willing to spend that kind of money on performance upgrades bought a different car. Yes there are some here willing to do it, but it isn't prevalent. Stillen might have trouble making money on this adventure.

I'm glad to see there is interest in the kit past the newer generation cars also using the 2gr. As I said in the post linked. If the kit is successful on the 3IS, we have no problem testing it on the 2IS. We don't know if everything will transfer over as we do not know all the specific differences. Even if the major components bolt on, there are still a lot of things to consider when fitting a kit from similar cars. Feel free to follow that thread though as if it is successful and there is a solid demand, we will look into making it work on the 2IS (but no promises).

Price is good. I pay 5000-6000$ for custom made rotrex SC kit and 1.5 month without car. So 6-7k $ for something that need 3 days to complete is good deal The only problem is that Lexus need ECU reflash to see big gains!Road Race Motorsports told me that can make a special custom piggy back system for my car but the don't sure that will work and the don't refund. So i will not buy something that maybe don't work

I got a quote from ARMA a few months back of just under $7k landed here in Canada, which seems to be on par with what some are saying.
Honestly, to have the confidence of buying a full kit from a well known, established company beats having to piece together your own-- it seems to end up at the 6k mark at the very end after parts, labour (fixing problems, assistance, etc.) and shipping.... worth it imo to go with Stillen or ARMA.. saves the headache! I say this in the hopes to join the 2is SC club..
