Need help for my 02 IS300
Apologize for the long post.
About 4 weeks ago while driving, my car just shut off; I was able to shift into neutral, got it started and I was able to keep going; several miles later; same thing happened; had it towed to a shop my (soon to be ex) husband used to work at and they said it was the alternator; it was changed and I was on my way. Two weeks later, same exact thing happened again; towed to same shop who now says its the igniter. I am told this is an expensive part and I can't afford it right now. Does anyone have a picture of this part so I can see if its possible to get it cheaper? I've searched but I have no idea what I am looking for. Thanks for any help!!

so this is a shop that you can trust? hoping that they're not trying to give you the run around, but just want to be sure. if you can get the part number, you can shop around for the part (ie auto zone, pep boys, etc). you may even ask one of our vendors, mylparts, who are a genuine lexus parts dealer. I had an 01 is300 and it started having ignition issues as well. I traded it in though (had over 270k+ miles...time for a new car), but it never shut off while I was driving. so if can, try to get the part number and go from there. not only will you have to pay for the part, you're going to pay for labor as well...unless they hook you up at the shop. good luck
