TEIN Suspension for better than the already great ride quality and improved handling. Exhaust system (magnaflow, hks) cams stage 2 go for about $400 or you could buy the 2jzgte swap instead of the factory 2jzge the gte comes with the sequential turbos... It all depends how you wanna build either geared towards engine or boost.. Or both.

Well, how fast do you want to go?

If I had 5k to burn I'd do maintenance first, then get an intake, coilovers, exhaust and a header.

I'd rather drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow

I'm actually in a similar situation as you right now haha.

Mine is an auto just because it's been so hard to find manuals in the right condition.
But aside from that, I've been looking at two main areas to modify. Suspension and exhaust.

Since you have a decent sum laying around, I'd suggest you look into a good quality set of adjustable coilovers (tein, hks, bilstein) along with a set of front and rear sway bars (hotchkis, eibach).

For exhaust, are you looking for a loud setup, or just a "louder than stock" setup.
If you are looking to make your IS loud, you may want to get all aftermarket from the headers down to muffler.
If you don't want as much volume but still a quality exhaust note, possibly just an axleback (hks carbon ti is what I'm most likely going to order)

My car already has a K&N airfilter, but there are plenty of intakes that you could consider as well (SRT, AEM, Injen).

While at it, why not slap on a pair of performance tires with some nice wheelios. That would give you some performance benefit with the addition of good looks.

I know I'm rambling here so I'll stop haha.
