Exhaust is in decent condition with very little rust.
He is asking for me to pay the entire swap fees for both cars which he said is about $200, and also pay for the exhaust: another $250. Is this fair?
Either of us have the space and equipment to do it ourselves.

You can definitely find a good one for about $450 on CL.

I agree, you could do it yourself with a socket wrench. I paid someone to do mine only because it was 5 degrees outside. It took them 10 minutes to do, $50. Then the mechanic told me I should of just did it my self. I would offer him $50 plus your exhaust. I paid $600 for mine from Florida in brand new condition. You can find them in the classifieds section all day for $450

It is very difficult to find HKS here in Canada since not that many people have them. I would have to go to a shop, since its -30 outside and neither of us have a garage or space. New HKS locally here are $800. The last time an exhaust was up for sale here was an fsport that the seller wanted $1050 plus my OEM exhaust. And before that there was an HKS but that was in 2013.
BTW my stock exhaust is about 9 years old

In summary,
I am paying the seller $250 for the HKS, and he will be taking my OEM.
Labor for swap at a local shop is $180, lowest I got from 3 shops in Toronto area.

All you need is a Jack and a socket ranch. Use a Jack stand if you can. You can get 2 jack stands for like $20 bucks at harbor freight.
Nothing is wrong but exhaust is just hanging low on his car cuz its not installed properly. Make sure you get new gaskets for it. I bought a gasket sheet and cut my own.
