just to confirm, the fsport box for the 2014-15 intake system will mate directly to the stock intake tube without any mods correct?

I see that faisal11ir posted a pic, but I wanted to be sure before I start ordering anything.

thanks in advance!

okay...so I just picked up my parts. the box isn't really a box, it's just the box top w/ the f sport logo that replaces the stock box top. I have yet to install the filter element and the box top. if the filter element fits, like everyone says it does, i'll probably return the f sport box top...or should I?!?! the logo looks good on it! but it's $100!!! to be honest, that's A LOT cheaper than what retail is. is it really worth the money just for the top? I doubt there'll be any sound differences w/ just the filter and box change. and for those who wondered about the carbon filter under the box top, there is one.

if joe z makes more intake pipes, I may get one...they're cheaper than completing the f sport system and do the same job.

thanks to all that replied to all my question though. I appreciate it! i'll take pics later on too!

Nice. $100 for the F sport logo haha Did you compare the stock and Fsport lid? Same? The joeZ pipe makes the intake more quite because it removes the sound generator and some people lost hp on dynos. The pipe looks cool though.

the stock and the f sport lid are basically the same; they're just shaped a little differently...but the lid looks a lot nicer!

after reading some threads about the joe z pipe, I think I may just hold off on that even if/when it becomes available again. I don't know if it's the placement of the intake to the manifold that lowered hp, but it's really weird. looking at some images the isf engine compartment, the intake and manifold is placed in the front. so maybe shorter and direct air flow to the engine; no time for heat soak? where as on the isx50, ours are placed toward the back of eng compartment; more time for heat to settle. i don't know, it's weird. wish we could get a clear explanation.

you know, after installing my exhaust, it'd be difficult to hear what the metal pipe would sound like. I know with an open air filter (ie dc, injen, etc), you would hear the "swallow" sound (kinda like darth vader's inhale, but at a faster rate) when the throttle body was open. I don't think/know if that sound is around with an enclosed set up.

I would rather invest the money on a TOM'S intake filter...

more flow, better low rpm response, dry filter for ~2yrs life.
