Default 0-180+ KM/H -Lexus 14' is250 vs 15' is350 Fsport

i was not planning to share this but why not....

so Today i Drag Raced (0n a private road) a stock 3is 350 F Sport

it was for fun From 0-180 KM/H

me the camera man and driver in the white 250 with mods
the Blue 350 F Sport guy was Bone stock
side note: when you hear the beeping sound it the 120+ KM/H speed warning

from the vidoe
from 0-100 KM/H i was leading
then after 120KM/H he was ahead but by not much
120 - 160 or so i am not far away

so considering the Crank horse power difference between the 3is 250 204HP vs 3is 350 305HP
and also the 0-60 mph diffrance (7.7 second for 3is 250 and 5.6 second 3is 350) of 2.1 second

how its possible the (3is350 f sport ) could not pass me (3is250) of the line and i was ahead tell 100 KM/H and my car keeps with him ?

The blue 350 must have launched later then caught up. Interesting video.

lol the 350 had a 101 HP advantage plus 8 speed trance no way i can keep up with him

i think the VRTune and JoeZ intake had a huge impact on the results

and trust me we launched together ( we reattempt if he or i failed to launch together )

and we attempted the runs 6 times just to eliminate driver error

first 3 runs i was ahead and the last 3 runs he was next to me going to 120 KM/h

That driver is definitely doing something wrong. an intake and a questionable VR Tune shouldn't make THAT big of a difference.

Something seems off with the launch but it seems he passed with ease and the gap was widening really quickly. I understand that you think that's not much of a gap but he's got several car lengths on you at the end and it seems like the gap is widening..

like i said we did 6 runs with the 3 times the same result the last 3 i lost because of the car running hot BUT rest assured that both cars launched perfectly with the same Sport mode and with half Trac on

for sure no mater what a 250 has it would not beat a the 350 in a 1/4 mile run nor a 0-60 but
if we were comparing 350 to 350 i would say driver error but this a 250 vs 350 comparison run
with giving performance differences between both cars the 350 should off passed me easily right from the start

judge the distance from the video off a phone camera lens is difficult and unclear because the lens are wide angle and it makes things look farther and smaller from a distance so i will try to do a retake on this with a better video showing both car from different angles (using a GoPro if i can) with the same cars with and without mods

at the end to be clear the purpose of this Run or video is to document or show you the performance difference between the 250 and 350

mod or not i have respect for the my 250

I can attest to some performance gains when I installed my Magnaflow axle back and Takeda air intake which shaved off 0.8 seconds 0-60, but still ~1.5s off a stock 350.

Did your butt dyno also tell you that you gained horsepower too?

Ok, I'll bite. How did you verify the .8 second gain? That's a pretty significant gain so those of us who haven't done any horsepower modifications can learn from what you experienced.

Generally if the car has enough grunt to take the lead off the line, it has enough to keep walking away. I realize that torque and gearing come into play but it doesn't make sense that you have more power off the line and then he runs away from you and hides. The only explanation is a terrible start.

It looks like your 0-60 is right around 8 seconds, from 0:03 - 0:11 judging by the sound of the shift to 2nd. An IS350 is in the low 5s. If you guys started at the same time and you were ahead until 60, that would mean the IS350's 0-60 is 8.x which is hard to believe . It could be that he had a bad start but then again you've tried this 3 times.

Nice run. Try it again with a better camera angle.

Still even with the intake and the VR ecu , it sounds like your 0-60 is still within the 7.5-8s range.
