How to Get the engine manufacturing date with only the engine serial number
I have a '99 RX-300. The engine was replaced in 2002, before I owned the vehicle. How can I tell what year the replaced engine was made? All I have is the engine serial number (0751556). The engine is 1MZ-FE. Seems everyone needs a VIN number but I have no idea what vehicle the engine was in before. It is used and probably came from a "totaled" car. I've searched everywhere, and even Lexus was of no help. Thanks.
