Default Opinions ppe header without cats

Anyone tried it without cats?
How is the sound? Too loud for cops?

Better to use ppe cats with it?

Thanks

If you keep the stock midpipe and a good axle back it sounds really good. It gets raspy and loud if you replace the midpipe and don't add cats.

I do not have experience for the headers but if it gets too loud, get resonator(s).

I had the headers on without cats and I really prefer them with cats. Just sounds better overall. The new set-up that PPE is going to release includes an full exhaust system that bolts up directly to the headers and looks like it's going to be an amazing set-up.

I have the PPE headers Cat-less with a Tanabe Medalion exhaust. Kept the stock mid pipe and it sounds amazing. Tiny bit of rasp right when you are warming up but after about 2min it's all business. The gains were very impressive.

what was the rest of your exhaust set up like? stock, axel back, or 2 pipes all the way back? and were you running any resonators?

For me, Having Cats was a personal decision, not a sound (noise) decision. IMHO, in today's environment having catalytic converters on a vehicle driven on a public road is the environmentally responsible thing to do.

i have ppe headers with no cats and a x pipe, sounds awful. If you're keeping the stock mid, it should be fine, with any axle back you choose.
