Did Anyone try a race between the is350 07 vs 09 ? Is there really a difference?
0-60 mph of the 2009 is slower according to lexus.

If its true, what did they change on the car?
Ecu programation ? Exhaust system ( pollution)? .......

the 350 has been the same all this time except for the newer one with the 8spd. unless its some small tweak in the tuning of the later one( i doubt it though)... motor and gearing is all the same

It's rumored that Lexus dumbed down the IS350's original 0-60 time of 5.3(06) to 5.6(08 or 09) to make the newly released 08 IS-F's 0-60 of 4.6 more of a performance gap.

According to my recent thread and this calculator, I hit a 0-60 time in 4.65 seconds in my IS350. LOL!

that does sound kinda legit. but the strange part is that might be dumb way down because of the gearing in the is350, off the line, its faster than the isf. so that gap they possibly fabricated is odd to me

lol yeah im sure the is350 has a faster 0-60 than 5 sec. not by much but im sure it does

^Well, though adding an SRI isn't a stock component by any means, it doesn't add much power...mostly noise. Other than that, my IS350 is stock. A HEALTY, stout motor no doubt!

When i saw Sri, i thought of Siri. Adding "Siri" to Lexus makes it a SmartCar and hence increase power and lower 0-60 times.
