Exclamation 2014 Lexus F Sport Intake System released

So it seems that Lexus of North Miami in Florida has all the new parts. This is the new F Sport Perfomance intake for the 2014 IS 250-350. Found it via there ebay page

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-IS-250-350-2014-F-SPORT-AIR-INTAKE-SYSTEM-2014-ONLY-/251432841335?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a8a90b077&vxp=mtr#ht_671wt_11242014 Lexus F Sport Intake System released-intake.jpg

Tip for Locals --> Lexus of North Miami wont tell you they have the part in stock as they want to keep it for sale on ebay. However dealing with a nice guy yesterday i was able to order and pick up my F Sport exhaust which they had 3 but when i called myself they gave me pricing with shipping and everything. So be firm and polite at the same time...Good Luck!

Looks identical to the Joe Z pipe I just got. How much is this f-sport intake if you don't mind me asking?

They have it posted for $475.00 save yourself $200+ and get a GReddy, Injen, or Takeda intake I personally have the GReddy intake.

Looks like the same air box, just a different tube and (I presume) filter?

Edit - reading the link that is indeed the case, so you may as well wait for the filter to come out and just get a Joe-Z tube for under $200.

Your getting with this kit, (1) F-sport high flow air performance filter, (2) clamps, (2) rubber couplings, (1) chrome air intake Fsport tube with logo. Your to use your existing air intake box the upper and lower.

well, the Joe Z pipe can be ordered in that nice metallic blue for like 130 and the basic version is even cheaper...Has a super smooth inside finish too. I don't know, Since you lose some sound with just a pipe, though, plus gain nothing to be noticed (other than sharper throttle response which is still to be determined), the f-sport intake really is a robbery.

Anyone have a link to the Joe Z intake? I just want to make sure i purchase the correct one. The ones on his website say they are for models 2006-2010. Will those fit the 2014 model?

I don't have the link handy, but yes, the one that fits the 2IS fits the 3IS (I installed one myself). The only difference between the intakes for these cars seems to be the filter/filter box shape.

So will this fit, this will be a much cheaper alternative.

So is there any reason why someone would buy this f-sport intake over a joe z, greddy, injen, or takeda? Maybe if the person wants to stick with the "f-sport" theme? Is it so expensive because its rare right now or because its a Lexus part?

Simply expensive due to a Lexus part and anyone who is concerned about voiding warranty would spend the extra money.

Looks like it should fit, but I can't say for certain. The Joe-Z in the above link has been dyno proven to add about 5whp on the 2IS.
