Muffler delete?
#76
So I had my body shop in Austin take off both rear resonators and this is the sound. It's not bad, some drone but once on the highway it's sounds awesome.
The shop guy was stunned when he lifted the car up. I'm not good with mechanics and stuff but he saw cats up front 2 resonators and 2 big mufflers, which he told me quiets the sound.

Such a tough decision I have an 2015 IS250 Fsport. Ive always like the sound of a car without their stock mufflers and never thought it was worth paying 500 plus for an after market exhaust system.
Does anyone have a sound clip of a IS250 straight piped (no muffler, no resonator) if not ill defiantly try and be the first and try and bring out the real sound our V6 should be making... I saw one on youtube driving a bluesh car but like to know if anyone here has one?

-Are most people just re-using the OEM tips?
-Is going 1.75" more so for "less" drone if not, what is the benefit?
-Even though I've watched many clips, most were of 250's anyone done it recently to a 350?

I was reusing the OEM tips, and then I got quad tips down the road.

Going 1.75" might be pushing it. I have a 350 with 2.5" piping and I have no drone. I didn't want to cut my stock parts so I just had straight piping from axle back with new tips. Since my piping is crush bent, it's probably closer to 2-2.25". though.
