you most likely wont notice any gains, you might even run rougher or with less power. If you dont reset the ECU, the it the engine will try to run using its old "memory" which includes less airflow then when you change the intake. If you reset the ECU, it will relearn your driving style and set its memory at optimal levels, including the additional air produced by the intake.

But isn't it learning all the time? I never reset mine and it never missed a beat and runs real good my driving style has always been aggresive.

From what I heard it is not mandatory, but does improve if you reset it every once and a while, typically after engine modification. I am not a tech so I cant answer certainly, just pass along what I have heard from techs and in the forums.

I just ordered my HKS rewashable filter and my local shop will be making me a pipe just like the JoeZ one, if it comes out nice i'll post it on here... Next will be exhaust might start with just megan mid pipe

F sport intake is great. I personally went with injen short ram intake. It was louder and it was a lot more responsive.
