Default wanted aftermarket intake

hi. I've tried to post in the classifieds too, but it just doesn't work. Well anyways I'm looking for a F sport intake or any good after market intake for a Lexus IS250 AWD.
Thank You.

If I were you I'd just get a new intake pipe & filter then get the whole F Sport intake package. I went with the JoeZ chrome pipe & F Sport filter. Fraction cheaper & the pretty much the same. Performance wise they both still add 4-5rwhp.

I had an exposed oiled K&N filter on my 4runner and it was a hassle, as it attracted too much dirt and required constant cleaning. Swapped back to the stock airbox and an AFE high-flow filter which is oilless and reusable.

What is the best drop-in high flow filter for the stock IS250/350 airbox?

Didnt mean to thread hijack but maybe this will help us both

anything dry to keep the MAF clean. unless you like taking the MAF out and cleaning it once in a while.

Does it provide a noticeable power gain(even if minimal), is it reusable, better than stock but still filters properly?

thank you all for the reply and information. The reason I've been looking at a cold air intake is because the oem intake I have is broken the filter box got crushed. The mechanic advised to just bet a after market intake for a reasonable price rather then buying the oem one. Due to the fact, the oem one would cost about the same lol

I bought the car a little damaged and I didn't have the funds to buy a an expense one and I've always loved this shape for the IS. The vehicle I have is black on black 07 IS250 AWD luxury package with about 60,000 kilometers. I have been able to purchase some things like a after market no name exhaust and the lexus window visors, isf trunk spoiler and a rear window spoiler,

I like the look of the gfx side and rear and front skirts...on some cars posted here.....if they were ever on some great deal I might purchase them.

any places to buy a cheap but awesome cold air intake ...your feed back would be much appreciated..thank you

Harp1, which off-brand exhaust did you go with? How did it fit?

If the is250 is anything like the 350 the box actually pulls in cold air via a scoop under the front of the hood, almost like ram air. I think you might actually loose power from any other setup that does not utilize this design(though it might sound cool lol).

yes it's dry and reusable
at most 1whp gain depending on climate
but key is dry and reusable and it filters well
cosworth very big in the subie/evo crowd
u know a filter works well when it's used by everyone in the rally scene

------------

OP..there's no cai for this car
either buy sri with a heatshield and enjoy the sound + low end torque loss
or buy fsport and enjoy a more subtle sound + no power loss

I got the F-Sport Air filter off Sewell, and the JoeZ Pipe. Very happy with the look and sound, car seemed to be a bit more peppy, but I haven't driven to much to really notice either way. Make sure you reset the ECU when you install.

So what happens if you don't reset the ECU?
