^The internals of the IS250 and IS350 diffs are not compatible. The IS-F diff internals are compatible with the IS350, but the IS350 comes with a better FD than the IS-F.

Question for those of you that have done the swap- obviously handling and exiting corners is going to be better. As some stated overall acceleration should improve my question to those that have this how big is the difference? It's obviously not going to turn your is250 into an ISF I get that. Just curious if it's a noticeable straight line difference in addition to cornering.

Thanks everyone.

So has anyone found any good deals on the FRS/BRZ LSD?

I see them on ebay in the $700-$800 range, I need one bad but I have to imagine there are some better deals out there?

^No, but there are IS300 LSDs going for $300 around here. Saw one within my local Craigslist within the last week or so.

Is there anything that wears out in the Torsen LSDs. I know they used to make clutch plate style LSDs that get old and need re-builds.

My IS350 is equipped with the OS Giken Super Lock TCD. Here's the thread I made a few months ago regarding my experience with it:

Can you swap the FRS LSD into AWD or is this just for RWD?

Ouch. The IS350 lsd is so much more expensive than the 250.

I have an IS250 manual: I got a MK3 Supra clutch type LSD and I am planning to rebuild it and drop into an IS300/250 Diff case.
I was reading about this swap into the IS300 and apparently the stock IS300 half shafts don't snap into place with the Mk3 Clutch type differential. I am guessing that the IS250 will have the same issue…any info on this?

Turbo den- was this basically a complete bolt on swap or anything has to be replaced/ adjusted to fit properly?

It looks like the FRS/ BRZ diffs are around $600-$700 range...

There are plenty of detailed threads on the IS300/MKIII lsd swaps on these Lexus forums... What you have will work but I'm not sure about the length of your input shaft. You'll have to check and make sure it all fits in right and all is locked in... The MKIII lsd is a clutch type LSD so it is [B]adjustable and rebuildable[/B ... For those that do not know if you want to do what An2ny is doing you can scoop up an MKIII LSD from a 90-92 supra and do the swap. You can either get it from the turbo or non-turbo... If you want to change to a higher final drive(4.3) you can hunt down the N/A 90-92 A/T supra but make sure that diff came off a car with TEMS...
