Another unicorn? We've had lots of them troll through the IS-F forum. As they say in Texas, big hat, no cattle.

basically just like all the tuning products that "finally work" in the ISF section and then you never hear about them again lol

if its not a straight up stand-alone, anything that resembles a reflash for these cars i just laugh nowadays

I actually emailed the guy. He says he is willing to let one go cheaper and in return, you have to post pic installation and see if it made any difference. He would like dyno sheets of it before and after. Anyone interested, let me know. I almost did it but I'm chasing an ISF or RCF and don't want to spend anymore $.

Well if he wants to see if it works he should provide one and go from there, im up for the challenge since my car will be getting dynoed soon just to see what the gains are with headers and full exhaust so it would be a perfect time to do this and if it works I will def buy it

Another question: How does the MAPECU3 work? How much HP do you get from that?

On another note on SAFC-2 - the same engine code 2GR-FSE is also in the old MR2's. Again, gains with bolt-on's yield 20+ hp with the SAFC. Im willing to bet with some dyno pulls that the right tuner, gain can me made with the 3g IS.

Lastly, I have emailed SRT - the have a lot of knowledge with the is300. Im wondering if anyone would be willing to experiment there.
What is an FRZ? Do you mean FRS? It uses a 4 cylinder boxer engine that has nothing to go with a 2gr-fse

Since this engine has DI, E85 would more than likely result in a nice power bump (my last M3 (non-DI) had a nice 15rwhp power bump with simply running a 30% ethanol blend + a flash tune, my last 335i (DI) had a nice 35rwhp bump with an 50% ethanol blend + a flash tuner to take advantage of it). I wish someone would explore the possibilities of changing A/F, ignition timing, and VVT-i overlap settings, maybe it'll give us competitive power to the germans running stock files (lol).

Urdusa.com make a plug and play EMS for the 05-09 Tacoma's that run the 1grfe (same engine family as the 2grfse). It is better than a standalone EMS as it keeps all factory systems working (including immobilizers, etc). It is fully user tuneable and has every safeguard you can think of (and more) for boosting. Gains for the ecu alone are 20-25whp, and up to 60rwhp with intake/headers/exhaust/throttle body. Maybe you guys should start bugging them to make one for the 2gr
