Performance Forced induction, intakes, exhausts, torque converters, transmissions, etc.

Took apart console to fix SHIFTER and now my KEY won't come out of ignition!

are you back into park?

the key wont be able to be pulled out if you arent. so either your not back into P or the position sensor or such doesnt think you are in P

or your actual transmission solenoid might be out, any updates on this though? its been almost two weeks now, curious.

Lol... I had this to happen to me before. Check your fuses. I doubt its the tranny soleniod. I popped a fuse installing my indash and guess what! My tranny didnt come out of park. Replaced te fuse and everything was good

same happened to me. I tried to clean out hot sauce that seeped into shifter and same problem. The only way you can take your key out is if you unplug the manual tran unit (I named it that) in front of the s h i f ter. you will see it plug into the unit. What happens after though is you cannot shift back into manual. Plug it in and you cannot get your key out of park nor shift into normal "D" drive mode. Hope this helps.
