Looks good! You stated it's 2 1/4 inch piping - is that any larger than the stock piping?

Thanks.

It sure is. Stock is fairly restrictive at 1.75". All done to slow down and muffle this sweet sounding engine's output.

do you think that by simply installing bigger piping to the stock exhaust would give it a better sound and if so does welding need to be done?

Nah, won't make a noticeable difference in sound since the bottleneck is still the stock mufflers. The cheapest way to get sound is remove the stock resonators and replace with welded straight pipe. However, expect a raspy less refined exhaust note. The next cheapest is weld on two magnaflow mufflers like mine to the stock pipes.

This has just been released and is is nearly identical to mine so it will sound extremely close. Even the tips are the same. Note, like mine, this is an axel-back which is from behind the resonators. (They often mis-label catback and axel back). On a 350 expect a slightly deeper, sound. For instance check this video out below. Sounds great and if you can compare mine and this next one, the only difference is the resonators are removed which makes it louder and adds some rasp/metallic noise on mid-to-high throttle input. In addition to this, be careful with a resonator-delete setup since you will get some annoying drone at constant city and highway speeds.

As for power, yes, I feel it breathing better and a little quicker overall. I did notice a touch less torque on takeoff (as my exhaust specialist had told me to expect that the idle torque will be 1-2 ft-lb less), but makes up for it after 1500 rpm. Even hitting near redline feels peppier as opposed to feeling it was dying out a little before. No dyno testing, but on the 250, my exhaust builder said to expect a real-world increase of between 6-8 hp more on my 250 with another similar gains in torque from ~1500 rpm onwards to redline. Extrapolate this on a 350, expect 10 hp/10 ft-lb torque easily.

My favorite sounding, but not by much, is the JoeZ and the F-Sport (2IS). However, because of the higher cost (based on the 2IS), with similar quality stainless steel construction, the Magnaflow is tough to beat... and really?? for under $500 on Ebay, WOW since others are now selling this for 800-900$. No brainer for me to buy this and on Ebay. Good luck and keep us posted.
