Im new to the CL forums, and I was wondering if there is anyway I can make my 2IS (still learning the lingo) a little louder? Maybe like removing the mufflers or the resonator? College kid just asking haha

I think removing either resonator or muffler would just make it noisy. Get an intake pipe, it'll give it a growl, but won't **** off neighbors.

It's a 2014 IS250 which makes it a 3IS I believe

You could do the washer mod, but it's not easy on a 2014. Your mufflers bolt on underneath the rear seat area - should be two bolts on either side of each pipe, so four total. Remove both bolts on one pipe and stick a washer or two in between the pipes over the holes for the bolts. Stick the bolts back in and you'll have a slight gap, resulting in a bit more sound. I haven't done this, but did it to my Subaru which gave it enough volume to sound aftermarket without being loud, droney or ricer-ish.

Please dont do this on a 40K car.

The cost of the car doesn't matter. Just tossing it out there as a 'cheap exhaust mod' option. Personally I'm waiting on the Borla axleback.
