I spoke personally to a vendor locally who had given me the same $422 price and told him off as well and he advised that it was a huge error and they all lost money on the sale.

So those who paid $422 congrats your the lucky ones from here on out they are $906!

Good Luck!!
That makes sense... MagnaFlow launced the system with an M.S.R.P. of $1,173.21

Soo that low ebay price was way off the charts...

Wow, talk about unlucky. I remember checking it out too a few days back it was under 500$ as you stated. But then I checked other re-sellers online and they were all selling in the $900+ range so I thought there was a mistake somewhere.

The nice thing about Magnaflow is that you can get it built yourself like I have from a local reputable exhaust installer and it will sound like the bolt-on since the bolt-on is built on their universal mufflers. When I had mine built from scratch, it cost me $850 all-in which is pretty good considering the bolt-on is more than that. The parts add up to about $400 (mufflers, tips and pipes) so if you can save on the labor, you can get one built for even cheaper than the bolt on. And don't forget, the one I have built is a bolt-on. I can swap it out and put back the stock the day I return the IS (lease).

However, admittedly, I've said it in other posts. Although I'm very happy with the sound and extra pep of the Magnaflow and for the money I stand by it as being the best quality/value overall, if you have a bigger budget, the Joe Z is the best sounding exhaust for the IS, IMO.
