Default ~ Experiences with DriftMotion Wastegates? ~

Has anyone here used or are currently using the DriftMotion wastegates? Mine is a bit noisy after about 30% throttle. I believe it is an HKS 50mm replica. I am not getting the boost levels I should be getting out of a 67MM turbo. Any suggestions or helpful advice?

Yea. Get rid of the Chinese wastegate and get a 44 mm tial or a 46 mm precision vband wg. They make a adaptor that bolts to the 4 bolt flange on your manifold and adapts to the vband. The precision comes with all the springs and is much better. I had the 50 mm. And couldn't get above 16 lbs. got the precision and problem gone. I opened up the 50mm and the diaphram is junk compared to a real wg.

Thanks. I was hoping that wasnt the case. Im so over not getting up to where I am supposed to be in this project. I went with DriftMotion because i heard their stuff works. I didnt know it was going to be like this. Im going to look into a precision setup. If it comes with all the springs, even better.

I havent ran the Drift motion wastegate but I have been using a chinese 50mm HKS style for almost (3) years now. They arent the best, but they work. Just keep in mind that if you do use one, the question isnt if it will fail, it is when it will fail. They are cheap enough that you can swap them out every few years.
