I was curious if anyone was running a GM transmission in their GTE swapped Lexus.
I heard that SP engineering is working on a paddle shifted 4L80E for the Supra, which would be awesome in the GS.

How much power are you guys running through your Toyota Autos? Mine is slipping a bit and I would rather replace it with something stronger than another OEM Aristo trans.

I have a stage 3 SP400 with the GS400 rear. It's a 3 speed but it's not terrible with the 400 rear. I run 68 MPH at 3000 RPM. I love the reverse ratchet manually shifted transmission with the trans brake. As for transmissions I have had nearly all of them. Stock with valve body upgrade, R154, V160, and Titan built A340e automatic. None of them were as nice for this car as the SP400 IMO. The with the V160 and R154 I didn't care for the long shift throw, you have to make the shifter very long with these cars as a stock Supra shifter will sit down in the hole of the center console, I had to add quite a bit to the stick to make it right. Also I didn't care for the clutch pedal placement either and I hated dealing with expensive clutches that can hold my power. With the 400 it's bullet proof and if something did occur it would be $500 to fix at any local trans shop.

I just dropped $3,000.00 for a gear vendors unit so now it will be a 6 speed SP400 and my RPM will drop down to 2200 at the same 68 MPH with that overdrive. Oh and the gear vendors are rated for 1200 HP too!
