I had by pass pipes for a bit. Loud, raspy, and deep all at the same time. Loved it, but it wasn't so friendly for daily driving (little loud for me)

Not sure on others. We have an exhaust thread with all 2GS exhaust sound clips. Try searching with a few key words and it'll pop up.

I have a axle back muffler delete with resonated SS tips. Sounds great imo. Has a throaty deep tone, and is not raspy at all. I get compliments on it all the time. I've had guys with full exhaust systems tell me they wish theirs sounded like mine. Its loudest off the line, and under a load up hills, but at crusing speed isn't loud at all...

Do you have any clips of your exhaust?
Would love to hear how this sounds

I got a muffler delete on my 2000 Gs300 and it’s the best thing ive ever done to that car! No lie it sounds like a V8 and when pushed to the upper 5-6,000 rpm’s it has a very satisfying high pitch just as a ferrari would.

I did a muffler delete to my GS300(2.25" pipes + 3.5" Tips) and it sounds great 3/4-full throttle! Part throttle 2-3000rpms drones bad! I am in process of putting 2 Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators just before the tips, I will post back when its done.

All muffler deletes are crazy. Unfortunately it wouldn't be an option for most of us California residents. If you want a real good sounding muffler for the GS, consider Drift Dialects fireball muffler. If you can't handle how low they sit then maybe a dual HKS HiPower mufflers with resonator deletes. Its all up to you really. I can't tell you want to put on your car.

I just had my Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators installed and it sounds great now, minimal "drone" at part throttle 2-3000rpm. Still sounds awesome 3/4-full throttle higher rpms. I haven't had it cruising on the highway yet but it expect it should be good. Great muffler for such a little guy!

Default Exhaust opinions please....

Long story short because this is the 3rs time I’m typing this. But I’m new on the GS side been in the ES side for some time. I came across a 98 GS400 for pretty cheap $900, because it wouldn’t start. So $900 later here we are. But I’ve been wanting to do something about my exhaust. Looking and looking and came across lots of options some expensive and some really expensive. I don’t like loud Honda exhausts, or too much attention, and don’t want to spend alot of time or money 💰. Also didn’t want to do a 3 inch exhaust.
So I came across x2 AWE 2.5 in and 3 out mufflers off an upgraded turbo Audi for dirt cheap like cheap. $40 to be exact, so after much debate and thinking and back and forth, I decided to install them. All total between the mufflers and install $160.....
Not loud at all, very low tone. No drone in cab, but I think it’s missibg something. Please give me your opinions and suggestions.
