Just got a RWD 2009 IS-250, couple of weeks ago

Looking to change the stock exahust, and intake, maybe headers too, for sound gains, wanted to see what u guys suggest i should do, any ideas...

I realy dont care about the hp gains since its a (250 you know), im just going for sound, want to have that deep rumble at idle, and Loud when you floor it.

Loudest would probably be:
Takeda, aFe, or K&N intake
Replace all cats and resonators with straight pipes, then buy a canister style muffler like HKS Hi-Power.

K&N Typhoon intake
HKS or Greddy EVO3 exhaust

I think those are best sounding for IS250

Headers....if you want power go for it...There's a video on youtube of some white IS250 with (I THINK) PPE headers, Invidia midpipe, some name-brand exhaust customized for true dual.........and it sounds disgusting lol

(Sorry if you're on the forum and see this but I honestly think it's too much for a 250 luxury sport sedan lol)

If you purchased those 3 new youd probably spend about $2300 without installation fees
i want ppe headers but im scared of how loud it might be
and more importantly too many have issues with CEL light coming on

ive heard the fsport intake isnt that loud

I would try out the intake and exhaust is not loud enough then add headers

Setup I would suggest is:

aFe Intake Stage 2
+
Custom Exhaust consisting of:
2.25" Piping
Custom X Pipe + Secondary Cat Delete
Dynomax Race Bullet Mufflers
Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator (at least one so it doesnt get to raspy)
Finish the look with some S2K exhaust tips

that should be nice a loud without headers

Another equally as crappy video of inside of the car going through a small tunnel - It sounds much much much better in person vs my phone

that sounds nice. at 16 seconds, what is that? lol almost sounds like a blow off valve
how long have you had your headers for? could you say after a while the sound is just too loud and getting on your nerves, or is it just pure sex to your ears everytime you hear it?
really want them, also worried about the cel light comng on. did you have issues with that?

at 16 it was just part of the tunnel. The video was taken at about 1k miles on the headers. I've had them on for about 10k now and the sound got abit deeper in tone. With the setup i'm running I rarely ever get any drone unless i'm speeding on the freeway or a slight drone when under 1.5k rpm but you can bairly tell its there. It does sound rather muffled inside of the car, but from the outside its a whole nother world. When i took the first vid i posted above when the car hit the rev limiter it sounded like gun shots going off in mah ears lol
