so basically if youve got an f sport exhaust already, adding an f sport intake wont make that much of a difference in terms of noise difference?

Is it me or there isnt bearly any diff between the before & after?

Well i didn't get it for the noise. If that were the case i would have gone with a K&N intake. The f-sport adds a nice sucking noise that is hard for the iphone to pick up and also gives it a little extra rumble around 4500 rpm. Not to mention ~5 whp from what i've read.

it's really more like 3-4 which is not noticeable AT all. As a short ram intake sucking in hot air, it's for sound really

Im not big fan of f sport intake or joez tube. I had it in my car and its just hassle changing filter. Plus pipe gets hot so i think u loose power. I have a gs350 intake tube. That hard plastic pipe has a noise maker in it and sounds amazing at 4500 rpm. Add the f sport intake box and filter. The pipe will cost about $200 at dealer, its not soft rubber like oem pipe its hard plastic

I'd like to see the photo of that "noise maker" in the OEM GS350 intake tube on your IS. Just to clarify your point, your option was cost effective with the same results? Of course were talking sound, not power. We all know the "gains" of an f-sport intake.

OP: you are correct, it is very hard to hear the growl from the intake electronically. It is just one of those things you have to experience. I searched online everywhere for a clip that would show me the difference. I just had to take the dive, and it was worth it in my opinion.

There isnt really a big sound difference. The Fsport is more on the quieter side. If you want louder, get a short ram

Personally I'm not a fan of the louder intakes on the Lexus. I had a K&N typhoon on my RX-8 and it sounded worlds different when i installed it, but the sound seemed to fit that car and I liked it. However I think the Lexus is a bit too refined for a ricey sound. Just my two cents.

Hey, another guy that came from an RX8 to an IS350

Thanks for putting the video together, I appreciate it. I think it's time I order an intake.
