Take you 20 minutes or so. Just basic hand tools screwdriver, socket and ratchet, pliers.

that vacuum tube is very loose for mine too and i thought it was going to fall off but once the cover was back on i suppose it added some pressure onto it. i haven't had it come off during operation at all.

Just push the two ends away from each other on the clip, and it will have enough pressure to hold the tube in place

i bought a new ring at autozone to hold the tube in. The factory one isn't tight enough for it

Sure it is... You just need to apply pressure and it will stay. I've done this on all 3 intakes I've had, and never had a problem

so you installed the takeda specifically? because after installing mine i needed a stronger clamp since the factory one is no where tight enough to hold it. Either get a new tube or a new clamp.. one or the other.

The install was very straight forward, no other parts were needed for me

I have the AFE,which is pretty much the same as the takeda. Like I said before...this is my 3rd intake and I've never had to buy a separate clamp for the hose

you need to disconnect your battery for 1-2mins and then reconnect it. make sure you just do the negative side.

i think the reason for this is the sensor in the intake gets the wrong readings. autozone looked up the error codes and it talked about O2 stuff.

once i put the batter back on all the warning lights turned off.

remember disconnecting your battery resets a lot of the electronics in your car to include your preset radio stations to your power windows (you wont be able to control them from the drivers seat). to fix this you need to go to each window and hold down the switch till its all the way down, then hold it up til its all the way up. weird, i know. but it works.

good luck
