Default Manual swap in a 98 GS300

So after owning my GS for over a year now and killing one of my shift solenoids burning up an old set of tires. I've decided to swap to do a manual. I already have an 07 G35 6 speed(CD009 revision) laying in my garage from a Nissan build project that I've had for a while as a spare, so I'm using that. Long story short, I've done plenty of hybrid type swaps in my lifetime mostly for track cars that use standalone ecu's. I'll be driving this one on the road as a daily.
My main question is, for those of you that have done a manual swap, what have you done to bypass any codes that may pop up when pulling the auto trans? I would assume resistors for the shift solenoids and if so, what size resistors? Also, anything else I need to consider?
Thanks for the help.

I have nothing to add, I wish I could help as I would like to know as well. I am sure someone here knows something, the question is will they take the time to help another GS owner out?

I've heard talk of removing the sensors/ actuators from the auto trans and leaving them plugged in. Just zip tie them up out of the way. They can do their thing and the ecu doesn't even know the auto is gone. I've never done this though so I can't confirm if it actually works.

Good one

i had a W58 mated to a 2JZGTE on a GS430 and I had the CEL lights and Trac/VSC. The info in the link is very useful for swaps like these.

Finally something... Thanks for the input guys. Dude in there actually gave resistance measurements So now I know what I can use. I've thought about just leaving everything plugged in, but that just sounds sloppy and waiting for something to happen

ok... just about have everything sorted and parts are coming in. Would anybody happen to have the bellhousing to shifter center measurement? I want to cut down and weld up my shifter bracket today while I have it here at work with me

So I've got everything just about figured out and I'm in the process of making an auto trans delete box that I can mount in my center console. it should clean things up quite nicely even though you can't see it. I found a GPS speedo sender that fits pretty well with it also, since the Nissan trans I'm using doesn't have a one. Looks like I'll be able to keep my cruise control and stock speedo with that in place.
When I'm done, I'll be sure to post up some pics and write up a tutorial thread for anybody else wanting to do a manual swap. Now I just have to figure out if someone sells the 12 pin connector on the trans side so I can make it PNP.
