Why would you only do the midpipe?

haven't experienced any drone yet ill wait and see after I do some highway driving. I decided to do the mid pipe first because i haven't made up my mind on which exhaust i wanted Im either going to go with the Greddy or tanabe. I'll tell you something I didn't expect it to sound soo dame nice even with the stock exhaust.

I have the midpipe with the Greddy SE and I love it. Contact Kris at www.gotoracingonline.com He got me both the midpipe and exhaust for a great price and really quickly.

Thanks for the awesome clip! I've always wanted to hear this. There is a clip on YouTube but that one isn't that clear. There are plenty of reasons why to do midpipe only. Sometimes adding the exhaust is too loud, some people only want a slight growl from stock and clearly the invidia does just that.

Wow this is the loudest stock exhaust on the IS i have heard... of course the mid-pipe makes a huge difference. How much horsepower do you gain with ONLY the mid-pipe? 2-5HP??

yea i did a lot of searching through these forums and youtube to get an idea but didnt really find anything so I went ahead and got it to see for myself and like many of you have said it deff brings an exhaust to life. I was going for that stealth sound during low rpms's and and nice growl accelerating. I had it installed yesterday and already people come up to tell me how nice it sounds. I will try to make more videos of take off and drive by.

Its probably the sound that made you feel like the car is faster. Nice sound btw. I was in your situation a couple weeks ago not sure which exhaust to get.
