Did this the week I got my 2is. Gives it a slight deep tone. Nothing major though. Defnitely saving up for the HKS Hi Power. IMO, do the res delete regardless of your future plans. Very very cheap mod. Got mine done for $50

well i know that is the CORRECT way, but i was just seeing what these 2 gents were gonna do. im not familiar with the 'resonator' on this car but i know on other cars that there is a "pre cat" which is honeycombed similar to an actual cat but is used for noise reduction and not emissions.
i wanted to advise others that if this resonator was was of similar design and they 'gutted' it like some people gut cats, that the resulting turbulence within the gutted item equals a reduction in power.

I have the F-Sport cat-back exhaust and Takeda short ram intake.
It wasnt loud enough for me.
I Went to a muffler shop, they cut out the resonator, welded in a pipe, now its loud as **** and sounds sick.
You'll definitely hear the difference.
30$ - 15 minutes

Its a cylindrical part directly to the rear of the secondary cats and Y split. It looks like a soda can. You can't mistake it. Shop will just cut it off and replace it with a straight piece of pipe.
