i also have the joe z and fsport filter and a hole in the stock box, i hear the difference at about 4k rpm. not sure how your not hearing a difference if your coming from stock. Did you drill holes or cut out a hole

from what I've seen, sound comes from the fsport airbox which is oem with extra hole. the intake tube just adds slight more hp, not sound

I agree with Reyoasian here. Adding a wider pipe increases air flow and HP. Why would that increase sound?

So yes, he should be hearing a similar sound to the F-sport (kicking in around 3-4k rpm) if he drilled a similar hole in the box.

The higher RPM's should make more of a growl. Its not a HUGE difference but you should be able to hear it with that many holes in it.

I have the JoeZ pipe & I def noticed a diff around 4k from the stock intake like Deathrow23 said. Later I grabbed the Fsport intake box & it also added a little bit more sound too. Is the Joez + Fsport intake box basically the same as having the Fsport intake?

You could certainly cut the same holes in the box and still use the stock intake pipe.

You won't gain anything but sound of course.

This won't work with most short rams, since they delete the stock airbox.

The Fsport intake box already has a hole. Nothing needs to be cut. You're cutting the stock box to emulate the Fsport.
