Default IS350 Intake Question

Hey guys I'm new to the forums but I had a quick question about which intake system is better or are they pretty much the same? (just got the IS350 so please don't flame me lol)...

The two that I am considering are: DC Sports Short Ram Intake ($181.19) and K&N 69 SERIES TYPHOON SHORT-RAM AIR INTAKE SYSTEM ($275.57) or other opinions are welcome too.

**Pics of said car coming soon...

Will that setup give it a deeper sound?

I would recommend the joe z with either stock or f sport box as mentioned above.

I would say stay away from those hot air intakes and get the f sport intake or the joez tube + the f sport lower box.

It makes the car growl when your over 3k rpm.

You can save money and not buy the F-Sport air box and just cut the same hole in the stock box as the F-Sport air box too.

Do the same. Joe-Z or F-Sport. I ended up with the Joe-Z because of the cost difference and there is not much difference between similar intakes. You can always pick up a drop in filter that is from K&N or something similar.

Here is the link to the Joe-Z

Well just had k&n test fit the typhon on the 2011 is350 and so far impleased. Sounds really good and seems a little more responsive. They claim 12hp gains and include a dyno copy but of course that really just a claim. There is also another company (AMG) that is producing an intake for the IS that i ran fo a week that also seem good. Im hoping that they can have their dyno up and runing when the final kit is ready and maybe do a comparision between stock/AMG/K&N.
