Default Loss of acceleration with f sport intake

Just put the f sport intake on my is350. I noticed that that acceleration is not as jumpy as it was with the stock air box.I have put this thing on right so please don't ask. Just want to know if I'm missing something here.

I didn't experience any loss of power after instaling my FSport intake. Given that the power gain is only about 4-5hp, I wouldn't expect to feel any difference at all.

Example, if I'm on the road and had room to shift to 2, the car would shift to second. After the intake install the car shifts to third then second or just not go to second at all if I floor the gas.

Perhaps your sensor needs to adjust?

There's no reason whatsoever to reset the ECU for an intake install.

The car is constantly learning. Drive 100 miles or so regardless of having reset the ECU or not and it'll have "learned" the relevant fuel trims for whatever the car is doing assuming everything is working correctly.

If there's still any difference in feel after that point then there's something wrong with your parts or your install.
