Can't wait til I get time to bolt this on. Alittle boost will lean it out just right.

HKS claims : 350whp and 320wtq ( This is with the HKS drop in filter and HKS axle back exhaust)(Thats right it uses the OEM air box, LOL)

413 flywheel HP = IS-F hmmmmmmmmm for only 5K.

This would be a cheaper option than buying an IS-F with a better HP to weight ratio than the IS-F

IS350 - 86lbs per HP
IS-F - 91lbs per HP

Food for thought
Is it possible to post the part numbers of the electronics components?

HKS claims 350WHP with boost? Doesn't the Tom's and LMS SC give the same output?
LMS kit gives 70 BHP (Not WHP) on an IS250 without electronics at 7.1 PSI boost.
On a 350 it will produce less because boost is 5 PSI with the LMS pulley.
The lower boost on 350's with the same kit is because of the displacement difference in the two motors.
So i would expect no more than 30-40 WHP on a 350.

I'll gather a parts list and update the frist post.

As for WHP, I've dyno'ed 280whp in the past. If I'm able to pull off a 350whp run then that would be 70whp or about 84 flywheel HP.

Which sounds about on par for boost

Every 1 psi = 10hp

The fact you can tune gives this kit the advantage over the others. Under boost a 11.5 - 11.8 AFR will make more HP & TQ than 12.5 - 13.0 as stated with the other kits.

To awnser some questions,
HKS japan makes a Supercharger GT kit for the GSE21. This is the IS350.JP ver and the Crown.JP ver.
This ECM (HKS f-con iS) was pretuned by HKS.JP NOT HKS.usa.
HKS usa fails period. They do not know there product nor try to learn it. They never awnsered any emails and there network of vendors are just parts pushers. They care nothing about aftermarket performance.
HKS japan sent the F-Con iS with a harness and a jumper harness. I wired into the jumper harness using the factory OEM ECM pinout that you can find on many websites.
This made the kit plug and play with about 2hrs of wiring.

I did nothing but get the hell away from us lazy american's and contact HKS japan. They know there product and our Lexus IS350's. They awnsered all my questions and will awnser yours.

So to sum it up, The HKS GSE21 kit is direct bolt on supercharger @8lbs of boost. The HKS f-con iS is plug and play if you can read a pinout diagram. Unit works flawless.
Could you please post the email address of HKS.jp cause i couldn't find it in their web site.

I'm curious what possible applications this would have for NA cars.

similar to Gernbys piggyback system (but prob. with more adjustments available) it'd let you adjust the fuel curves and timing and so forth, my guess was maybe 10-15 hp tops in an NA application, so if that's worth the probably ~$1000 the hardware costs...well, people spend that on exhausts that produce less gains, so probably folks would be happy to pay that.

^^Kurtz is right, I'd say the most NA gains would be midrange. You might be able to gain alot @ 20-30 from 3k - 5k.

But tuning the HKS is not easy. HKS does not provide the software to the public. You have to be a "HKS pro" tuner.

This is an issue for me b/c I can tune and have alot with past projects. But HKS wants a 30K buy in to become a "Pro dealer".

So the hardware costs will be @ $1200 but a tuning section will run about the same with a HKS Pro tuner. So you'll have $2400 in just a n/a tune.

It's actually a supercharger setup but I share your enthusiasm 100%.

wait....so the f-con doesnt allow for user programming???!!? 900$ only gets you a prepackaged module with no software huh?

what crap! Still though, I guess a little over 5k for a supercharger and engine management is still a deal compared to previous offerings, I guess.

I just wish we truly had a workaround for NA tunes.
