This is a GREAT new mod for the guys that don't have headers yet but for those that already have the S&S ones; I don't think it's worth the cost of the switch. What do you think?
I agree Rock! It's definately not worth all the money and hassle for the little gains these have over S&S's headers. But it's definately good news for us guys with no headers!

Rock.. these are NOT long tube headers. Those are not planned yet for production and as JBrady pointed out will most likely not even prove to be worth it.

These are the "shorties" similar to the S&S and from the early dyno numbers seem to be close in HP\TQ.

Too early to tell, but even if they gain 5hp to me it would not be worth it to re-install.

We finally finished the GS headers. We thought we would be able to just change the flange/collector angle to make them work, but the steering shaft was in a completely different spot. So we had to modify the tube routing on the driver side header. Over all specs are the same, just a little different rotation of the collector.

We just posted the group buy for both versions on in the group buy section. The two versions make these a direct bolt on for the LS/SC and GS 400 and 430 cars.

Great news.

Hopefully the GS design will also fit the SC430s.

I haven't seen an SC manifold yet. Are they the same as the LS, GS or completely different?

According to the OEM part number, the SC430 shares the same manifold as the LS430 and GS430

That is my understanding.

Worth noting is the GS400, LS400 and SC400 all have different manifolds with the GS400 and LS400 having dual tube tri-y type and the SC400 having a single tube design.

The 430 engines went back to the single tube design for early catalyst light off and have the same flange locations as the GS400 dual tube design.

The unknown here is the PPE design for the LS430 had interference with the steering on the GS430s necessitating a redesign. Until a set are tried on the SC430s it will not be known if the GS design will fit the SC430 and the LS430 design is almost certainly not a fit. Although it is possible that the GS design will fit the LS. If the GS design performs as well as the LS design it may make sense to build all of them to the GS configuration.

Any pictures of the GS design?

Yikes! I didn't realize there were so many variations. We did the LS430 and the GS400 prototypes. The Steering shaft on the GS400 try-y design was way different than the log manifold of the LS430.

So the LS430 headers we did should fit all the 430 cars it would seem since they all use the same stock manifold, yes? And the GS400 headers will only fit the GS400.

Looking at diagrams of the different steering gears in the different models/years. It looks like the LS430 headers should fit the GS430 too, but the SC is steering gear box is a bit different. We will have to get one in to take a look.

For now we should have the GS400, GS430 and LS430 covered.

We are starting on the IS-F this week, so the SC cars will have to wait a bit.
