SRT Intake ECU problem!
I recently bought a used SRT intake from another CL member here, came home, hooked up the intake and ECU by CRIMPING it, and turned on the car. It turned on with the CEL light on then 2 seconds later the VSC lights pop on. I try revving the car but the throttle wouldn't respond until I pushed the pedal 90% down (even then it revved slowly to 3k rpms when i floored it). I tried again a couple days later soldering the connection like it said to do in the manual but the codes still came up with the same symptoms. I contacted the previous owner and found out he used tap connectors (suitcase connectors) to tap the wires. So i tried that and no improvements.
A week later, I called in to SRT and I think Mohammad was his name replied telling me to ship the piggyback ecu to them. When they got it, they told me that one of the chips in the ecu is fried and I would have to replace the whole unit. So i guess I must have connected it wrong the first time which broke the ecu so I took it as my own fault and just ordered their brand new ECU for $180 including shipping.
When I got it back I printed out the manual and soldered all the connections as they should be. I checked everything and turned my car on and it still happened. I called in and asked why its still not working and Mohammad told me to try and take off the Sensor 2 (white) wire. I did and my car started fine with no codes. However, he told me the wire was a connection which tunes the throttle position sensor. I tried driving it around and my car is definitely driveable but the throttle doesn't respond very well where it accelerates slower than the 86 corollas and doesn't shift very well. It also stalls big time when it is WOT. So i'm stuck right now driving around a car the drones big time. Doesn't sound like a lexus or a mustang... lol. Waiting another whole week for SRT to send me another brand new ECU to try.
Anyone got any idea why this is happening? Thanks!

for some reason those damn srt intakes are always a PITA, to be perfectly honest, and this is my opinion, the intake is not worth the money. your not the first and wont be the last. i live like 15mins from that shop.

can anyone help me? it's been a month now and i still haven't received the new ecu. I tried calling srt every day at 10-2pm at their time and no one ever picked up. If its possible is there anyone around the huntington beach area who i can swap the srt ecu with to test whether or not its my stock ecu or the intake's problem?
