New member with new car
Hi all,
Scoured the web and found this little gem of a forum to nestle into with my new purchase.
Just bought a new IS 250 F-Sport Auto with Multi media in Cadoxton Slate and enjoying the serenity of having a more sedate daily driver over my last motor. I'm trying to adjust to a car that has 230+whp less than my previous whip, but at least doesn't try to remove my lower spine on the road.
Sorry for the pic quality, but I'll get some better ones up soon.
My previous whip....
100 shot Progressive Nitrous for 440bhp and 510lbft
Looking forward to doing a few things to the new motor
Anyone had nitrous on their 250? or 350?

Congrats on your car and welcome to CL.
My bro had a VW Rabbit (Golf)... but he sold it because it had tons of mechanical problems after owning it for a year. He sold it and got a Subaru.
How the GTI maintenance like? I was about to get one but I quickly got intimidated after reading how bad the reliability was on JD Power.

The Reliability was great on mine. I bought it new and the only issues I had were when I was pushing the power envelope of the car. A VAG 2.0T engine isn't exactly designed to take 440bhp and 510lbft of torque. It was fun though
0-200kph (124mph) in 12.5 seconds was fun, as was the 60-100 times

The IS 250 I have will stay with stock power as a daily driver, but will get some visual upgrades. I'm looking at a track car for my fun times - something with low weight and mad power . Took the GTI to the Nurburgring a few times as well as Spa Francorchamps, Silverstone, and a few lesser known tracks and although good, it isn't a purebred race car by a long shot.
