couldn't you just weld the OEM hole over and either bung the OEM pan in another location or rethread the OEM hole?
you can just retap the treads to a larger size bolt instead of buying a new pan i believe. but yea i agree it DOES strip easily... the bolt itself might strip first before the pan though since both of the GS400's i purchases second hand.. the bolt was slightly stripped.. ON BOTH! Pan was good though.. i think.

Ya, I coulda gone that route... I did ask the dealership to try and replace just the bolt, but they said the hole in the pan was botched. No point asking them to try and enlarge it and put a larger bolt in though. Besides, I was in the mood to burn some money! And who doesn't love new tranny pans amirite? Don't gimme that DIY crap either cuz it's 110 out and F everything bout that; off to the stealership...
