IS350 Resonator removal.
This is something most of us have either considered or done, but upon doing research I'm only able to find it among most 250 owners. Both with information and videos. I know they're both 6 cylinders, but they're obviously very different power wise.
Has anyone with a 350 removed the resonators on a stock exhaust? Is there any difference with removing it on a 250, sound wise? Any information at all would be great.
Thanks.

I removed my resonator on my 350 a month ago, leaving the stock mufflers, and to be honest with you I HATED IT!!!!
I drove it on the hwy and on local streets, both stomping on it and cruising, for a total of 100 miles or so, before I went back to the muffler shop and had them put in a magnaflow resonator. I like it much better now (slightly sounds like the g35 in tone with g35 exhaust volume (loudness) till 3K rpm then the joe z intake pipe takes over and the exhaust goes mute)
Why I didnt like it....
I am told that on the outside it sounded great, but on the inside it droned at 55mph (not loud but annoying to me) and there was a slight vibration felt in the steering wheel at around 3K rpm. As the RPM gauge got to around 5K there was a raspy/buzz from the exhaust (think civic with fart can).
I my younger days I would have probably liked it, but since I take clients around, I opt for a more quiet car (hence why I didnt get the EVO X I was looking at before this car)..... Also I hate making more noise without making more power to go with it...
Again this is just me....

I am super sensitive to vibrations cause....well....I HATE THEM....lmao

The vibration was slight and was not there before removal nor is it there now with the magnaflow.....I guess it was some kind of resonant frequency that popped up at that rpm (and light load) without the resonator.....dono for sure what caused it though.

yes i feel some vibration through my steering wheel too i did not feel before when i had the resonator ..
if the magnaflow resonator is as good as you say it is .. i will be putting one on right away
